SAFECOMP 2014 is now approaching! The 33rd International Conference on Computer Safety, Reliability and Security will take place next week in Florence. SAFECOMP will be held in the city center area, in the Auditorium al Duomo and Palazzo Coppini palaces.

The final program of the conference has been published, together with some pratical information for attendees. A pdf version of the program, together with some practical information, is also available for download.

The program will feature four keynote talks:

  • "Quantitative safety assessment: experiments and field measurements"
    by Henrique Madeira (Univeristy of Coimbra)
  • "Key Challenges for the Automotive Industry and Renault"
    by Philippe Quéré (Renault)
  • "Software Quality, Dependability and Safety in Embedded Systems"
    by Philip Koopman (Carnegie Mellon University)
  • "Cyber-Physical Systems in Horizon 2020 – Trends in EU research and innovation activities"
    by Werner Steinhoegl (European Commission, Complex Systems and Advanced Computing unit)

Furthermore, on the first day of the conference, Wednesday September 10th, the SAFECOMP 2014 will feature a joint program with QEST 2014, with interleaved keynote talks and paper sessions. The two events will be part of FLORENCE 2014, a one-week scientific event with conferences and workshops in the areas of formal and quantitative analysis of systems, performance engineering, computer safety, and industrial critical applications.
