Short Bio

Paolo Lollini received the laurea degree, and the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Florence, Italy, in 2001, and 2005, respectively. Since 2006 he has been working as researcher in Computer Science at the Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Science of the same University.

He participated to several European (FP6 and FP7), National (PRIN) and Regional (POR-CREO) funded projects, also contributing to coordination and management activities. Among the most recent projects: ARTEMIS-JU-333053 CONCERTO, ICT-FP7-610535 AMADEOS, PIRSES-GA-2013-612569 DEVASSES. Paolo Lollini is currently the Project Coordinator of the project H2020-MSCA-RISE-2018 ADVANCE. He has been a member of the program committee of about 30 international conferences and workshops. He was Program Chair of EDCC 2018, Local Organizing Chair of SAFECOMP 2014, Publication Chair of SRDS 2013, and Workshop co-Chair of SRDS 2011, and he is currently Doctoral Symposium Co-Chair of SRDS 2019 and Fast Abstract Co-Chair of LADC 2019..

From 2011 he has been giving teaching courses for the Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science at the University of Florence, concerning Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Quantitative Analysis of Systems, and Real Time Critical Systems.

His research interests concern the design of dependable systems and their validation adopting analytical, simulative and model-driven solutions. He considered a variety of application fields including railway, embedded systems and electric power systems. Recent interests concern the design and validation of Systems-of-Systems considering their dynamicity, evolvability and the occurrence of emergence phenomena.
