Marco Mori received his Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science with honors from the University of Camerino respectively during 2006 and 2008.
In 2012, Marco Mori achieved the Doctor Europeaus degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the IMT Institute For Advanced Studies of Lucca, Italy, under the supervision of Paola Inverardi, full professor at the University of L'Aquila, Italy. During the PhD, Marco Mori mainly defined and implemented a comprehensive perpetual software process that allows the specification, design implementation and evolution of self-adaptive systems under dependability requirements. He proved the feasibility of this process in supporting optimized, run-time and consistent software adaptations.
From 2012 to 2014 (two years) Marco Mori was a post-doctoral research fellow at PReCISE Research Center of University of Namur in the lab of data-intensive system engineering held by Prof. Anthony Cleve. From May 2013 to April 2014, Marco Mori was also a beneficiary of an FSR Incoming Post-doctoral Fellowship, co-funded by the Marie Curie Actions of the European Commission (22 proposal funded over 78 applications). At the PReCISE Research Center Marco Mori achieved results at the intersection of self-adaptive and data-intensive systems including: supporting context-dependent run-time and design-time adaptations of database schemas; extracting the data-manipulation behavior of legacy data-intensive systems and supporting their optimized reconfigurations under dependability requirements.
Currently Marco Mori is a post-doc research fellow at the RCL Resilient Computing Lab at the University of Florence working on validating System-of-Systems dependability through analytical, simulative and experimental techniques. He is involved in the European funded project FP7-ICT-2013-10 AMADEOS.
His research interests focus on system-of-systems, self-adaptive systems, context-aware systems, database engineering, database evolution, database reverse engineering, data-intensive systems and requirement engineering.
